Personal development

Well, I have always dreamt on to become a great manga artist.
So did I become one? Did I pursue for my dream?
Those are the questions people would always ask when they heard of your dreams.

So what are these dreams and vision we had since our childhood?

You could ask this to yourself and maybe from there, you can find some resolution.
So as for me, a dream is a kind of motivation, something which excites me and interests me, and something which I wish to achieve.

Can't imagine that when I was a little kid, I dreamt of becoming a great fireman. Dashing into the fire storm and trying to save lives that are trapped in the mist of fire... ... Ah! Those were the days!

Our dreams more often or not have been influencive to our surrounding kins or events which occured and left a deep impression in us.
I wanted to become a fireman after watching an american film on brave firefighting scenes.
I was inspired by my uncle to become a righteous policeman too! Well, talk about the smart uniform, and catching thieves-- I mean that's what excites me.

So when did I change my dream to become an manga artist?

That dated down to when I was a little boy too! Surprised? How come this little boy changes his dream so fast and vividly? Hah, while having my dreams of becoming a fireman and a policeman, I drew a lot of skeleton figures (I would usually call it that way) which resembles a fireman holding a hose from the fire engines and policeman with a batton or gun.
I drew a lot and only my grandfather was there to encourage me. (while other family members asked me to quit drawing)

I was too young for anything. It was only a dream to keep my soul burning brightly.
I was soon introduced to the manga world from the comic dragon ball which is very much popular then. I realised how drawings could convey imaginery figures into live-alike personnels.
It was addictive, and I began tracing and copy-drawing characters of dragon ball.

Soon I caught the pointers at drawing and began trying to create my own characters, it was a nice experience and boasted my confidence in drawing. At that time, we used to have a subject of Art & Craft and I would love to design my cover folder with my drawings! I got A for it ^___^a

Until now, the dream is still within me... perhaps I haven't reassured myself with this path, as I can't find a door to it. My studies over the years make me an engineer-to-be, it isn't so bad.
Maybe I could make use of my drawing skills in my job scope ... somehow...

We just have to realise most of the things of life don't come to what we want; We have to be satisfied somehow even though the economic theory states that we have unlimited wants. Dreams could change, so could you. Dreams are adopted from the environment, and eventually we have to adapt to the environment.

For those fortunate ones, congrats!
For those whom are with me, don't need to be depress, it is normal.
If not the best, it is neither the worst.

Strive for a new dreams, live on!
zhaoru.
